Listening to designer’s insights can be fascinating.
Bettina Dittlmann talked about how she is moving away from jewellery making, to making larger pieces. She was keen to present different pieces together, as they sit together in her studio, as this is how she has become familiar with them.
It was interesting to hear how as the colour wears off her yellow piece, the mirror behind it will shine through. The mirror also picks up the colour of what the wearer is wearing. She noted that Galerie Rosemarie Jager was the only German gallery at Collect this year and I realised I missed Galerie Louise Smit from last year.
